Located just behind the MacPherson House, the Cottage on Hay Street offers plenty of room to relax with a living room, charming dining area and kitchenette (no stove). The private bedroom has a queen sized bed, while the Sofa in the living room is a Queen sleeper sofa. It's the perfect place for a romantic getaway, for families traveling with children or for traveling with pets.

The Cottage

Local History:

The Cottage was originally constructed to the right side of the MacPherson House when it was located on Hollywood Farm, and it was built for Mrs. MacPherson Spillman when she moved her daughter's family into the main house. When the house was moved in 1991, this portion of the building was placed behind the main house and finished to be a self-sufficient cottage.

Room:

The Cottage on Hay is a private cottage located just behind the MacPherson House Bed & Breakfast on Fayetteville's historic downtown thoroughfare, Hay Street.

With a private bedroom, separate living area and kitchenette, the cottage comfortably sleeps 4.

The bedroom has a comfortable, plush Queen size bed and hallway leading to the full bath. Here you'll find a cast iron tub/shower (for the best hot baths), luxury toiletries, plush towels and waffle knit robes.

The living area has a Smart TV (with WiFi for Netflix, etc.) and a Queen size sleeper sofa that's made up for your arrival with extra pillows and blankets tucked in the nearby cabinet. Enjoy a quiet moment to read or work at the the antique secretary desk by the fireplace.

Continental breakfast is included.
In the kitchen, you'll find a continental breakfast of fruit, yogurt, boiled eggs and baked goods prepared for you in the full sized refrigerator and a Keurig coffee maker ready to help you start the day. The kitchen is equipped with a microwave, silverware and dishes, and you'll find a tabletop toaster oven in the lower cabinet. It does not have a stove or oven.

The cottage offers the perfect space for a getaway, for families traveling with children or for traveling with pets. The cottage is pet friendly, but acknowledgement of our pet etiquette and payment of a pet fee is required to book Fido. A dog bed and dog bowls are available by request.
